Welcome to my blog. Hope you all are enjoying a lovely weekend. Wasn't that dust storm amazing on Wednesday to travel across the country like that and now heading to New Zealand. Thats a lot of kilometres to travel. I am wishing now that I had taken a photo, I know what a waste - but sometimes my brain doesn't think fast enough, usually after the event - especially for a scrapbooker (how embarrassing).

I have been inspired by all the lovely bloggers out there that I decided that it is high time that I join you all. I look forward to receiving feedback. I enjoy all things photographic (although I am only an amateur and use a point and shoot camera) and craft, and intend to share some of this with you . I am married (celebrating 19 years in Nov) and have 2 teenagers, I work full time and have just finished studying, so life can get hectic at times.

I have been doing craft what seems for ever. Learning to crochet as a kid, then moving on to cottage crafts - you know tissue boxes and photo frames, then card making - I love Penny Black stamps, then making doll clothes when the kids were small and making their clothes, then onto patchwork and quilting and finally scrapbooking. My favourite colour is Pink and collect all things pink especially pink tupperware and I am also an avid collector of the ever so cute Skansen Beanie Kids - I have several hundred - not sure of an actual amount.

While I make scrapbook pages for myself, I also enjoy making pages for others and sell regularly under cassandra2491 on ebay http://www.ebay.com.au/ and have now set up shop cassandra2491 Cranberry Lane on http://www.etsy.com/ please stop by and have a look. Some of you may be familiar with my work.

Until next time, happy scrappin.

Just a quick post today.

While participating in our family tradition

watching muppet Christmas Carol, I created some pages and got some inspiration for a project that hopefully will come to fruition in Feb (watch this space).

Anyway here are some pics.

It's Saturday! - yeah I'm now officially on HOLIDAYS!!! for 3 weeks.

I came home with lots - I mean heaps - of gifts from my darling babies this year. It makes being a teacher just that little bit special and to feel loved. I also received this beautiful bouqet

- just happens to be my fav. colour.

I also have a huge decision to make - I know some of you are saying no, no, but others are saying yes, yes and at the moment I feel torn between the two. You see I have been given the opportunity to advance (with more study) to eventually become the director. Do I want the job - yes and no. The director would like me ready so that when she leaves I can take over. She hasn't given a date but she is wanting to teach me everything and she says that I can do it - I just need the experience and confidence and that will all come over time. I actually enjoy the little bits of extra tasks I do - as at the moment I am the next most qualified staff member - but to have the total responsibility on my shoulders - anyway more thinking, and praying need to happen.

Also thought I'd share this photo that I took of my new Nativity

and then I discovered Miss A has been at it again.

Until next time

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas......

Only 2 days left until holidays for 3 weeks.

Busy, busy, everywhere you go. The shops are jam packed and make lunchtime 1hr break shopping interesting, and the lineup to get the much needed cappucino! I have finally - totally - I hope - finished all my shopping - now for the wrapping.....

My wonderful mother found some gorgeous fairy lights (solar) for us - cant wait until they're up! Emptied my room (part of the end of year cleanup as we close for 3 glorious weeks) at work so have more decorations to put up at home as well - have I mentioned how much I looovvveeee Christmas - one week to go!

Today was party mode at work. My assistant is leaving so the whole centre celebrated with a going away party. I have also come home with a couple of pressies that I have put under the tree and tonight we have the staff Christmas Party at the Thai Orchid and a Secret Santa.....

I am soooooo excited:)

As you can see, I have been experimenting with my blog layout instead of making pages. I am not totally happy with it, but these are the designs that I have come up with. I would appreciate it if you know of other designs that I might like to look at. I like the Shabby and pink of course - but I am only new to this so I don't want anything too complicated to upload - anyway I will live with this for a couple of days while I keep blog hopping and see if I can find anything else.

Exciting news - well I think it's exciting. During my lunchbreak the mailman came - yeah - school reports - nope - but my boy received his TAFE Cert 2 I.T.

What a day! It started with a sleep in till 7.30am - mind you I didn't sleep that well as I saw the clock several times throughout the night. But when I did wake - still no mojo. I looked everywhere but it was nowhere to be found - so I decided to hit the shops and do some Christmas shopping - yeah! almost finished - just another Ikea matter to sort! When I got home again I "Decked some Halls" - hubby not happy, had a headache. The neighbours were in full swing with a party that has gone on all day and is still going - rather loudly! But...... I have made a page - not as many I had been intending, but one came together for me - photo still to come. Plus while I was out shopping I found another friend that just had to come and live with us. Photos will be posted once I charge up the camera battery.

It's Friday yet again - these weeks are just flying by - only two more weeks until I'm on holidays (not that I'm doing anything exciting). I am sitting here staring at the mass of paper before me and nothing happens! I hate that - I want to make pages but there is nothing in me - no desire or inspiration, sadly mojo has left for the night. I am always full of ideas at work, if only I didn't have to go...., I could start on my lunchbreak.... or when I get home..... but when I do get home I just collapse and stare at the paper.
