I am so glad today is Friday. It has been another loooonnnnggg week. What have I been up to - apart from work that is. Well I have been fabric shopping and yes fabric is becoming as addictive as collecting paper for my scrapbooking. Just to sew it up - my aim is to have it ready for the next Handmade Expo. I have also been taking photos to scrap and have so many ideas in my head - only at times when I can't scrap, the minute I sit down to scrap, I don't have the mojo. I have been feeling like this for ages. I guess thats what working full time does to a person. and I guess it doesn't help that every weekend seems to be wandering around the shops fulfilling my teens wishes - so that doesn't really leave much time for ME.

But........ hasn't the rain (the week) of rain been lovely. I am not normally a rain person, but after the long drought I say bring on the rain.

Anyway that has been my random thoughts for today........

My poor neglected blog...... Life has just been toooooo busy, I am sorry. Working full time leaves no spare time at all really especially last week with staff away so guess who the lucky one was to cover - needless to say that I was exhausted at the end of the week. and then of course there's running a family and household.

So its almost September and fathers day - where did August go? Miss A and I went to the ekka - had a ball - so many photos to scrap - still have to get them printed along with the beautiful photos from my baby sisters wedding.

I have done some sewing and listed some of my items in my made it shop (just click on the icon on the side bar) still have lots to list and make up but I fear my sewing machine is in desperate need of a service - just to get it there.

Anyway better get back to it, until next time.......

Handmade Expo

The Handmade Expo will be celebrating its 2nd Birthday at the next markets on 21st August - yes it is also voting day - so why not do both? Come and visit Cranberry Lane, For Fun and Fancy and Scurrette at the Handmade Expo Bundamba Racetrack on the 21st August and then go over to the local school to do your voting.

Sewing for Cranberry Lane

For some reason my Cranberry Lane facebook page isn't working the way it should - hmmmmm. I will need to spend some time trying to figure it out. But not to worry, you can still contact me in blog land - I will try and be good and update - but you know.... life happens. I haven't done any scrapping for a while and yes I have major withdrawals - I have however spent the weekend sewing for my Cranberry Lane label to have for the next Handmade Expo - haven't quite finished - but I will be on holidays soon so hopefully can do some more then...... but before that is the Ekka - yeah. Am I going....well I am in two minds.....I really, really, want to its just the money side of things. Last year was the swine flu scare so we didn't go but this year.....anyway I am still debating.

Anyway until next time, happy blogging and I'll catch you when I pop by when bloghopping.

Cranberry Lane is reinventing itself - I have to admit that I do find it difficult as I enjoy many crafts - however I am going to try and concentrate on my clothing range, so watch this space as I reinvent and expand my range - as time permits - and don't forget that I can be found at the Handmade Expo along with Scurrette.

Handmade Expo

A great day was had by us who attended this months Handmade Expo. Lots to see and buy and a Steam Train ride to boot. A nice way to spend a Saturday.

Brrrrrr

It is sooooo cold and I'm finding it rather difficult to do anything. We have the heater on - but that just doesn't seem to be doing the trick either - unless of course you are right at it. I hate winter because of this - bring on the summer.

Scrapbook Expo

I am soooo excited, with all my sewing lately, I kinda haven't been spending time scrapping - but I woke this morning with the memory that the Scrapbook and Papercraft show was on - so off I zoomed. I now have so much inspiration and of course more additions to my stash. I must use my stash, I must use my stash. I am glad it's a lllooonnnggg weekend.

Friday, May 28, 2010

whooo whooo..... it's Friday again.....yeah!!!!! That means tomorrow is Saturday and I can do more crafting with both of my new fabric parcels..... have I got a few things up my sleeve????? Scrapbook page

Hi, I have finally got around to actually completing a scrapbook page - it feeelllllsss sooooo goooooddddd. Yes I am also enjoying sewing, doing the markets and selling my items online - I do still have a soft spot for all things scrapping - especially collecting stash and papers. I love this Kaiser line and just had to have it, I found inspiration from two different sources and came up with this......

Saturday, May 22, 2010

I spent the morning getting my Cranberry Lane facebook page up and running... so now fingers crossed. I completed a scrapbook page that has been sitting for ages just waiting but as usual I still need to put the title on, and I have finally got the overlocker out of the box! Miss A would like another T-shirt made so that will be my first project to complete with my new machine - better get to it.

Sunday, May 16, 2010

What a waste ..... well really .....no....,today has been. I had wonderful plans of crafting, sewing etc. but my sister decided facebook.... ok.... so instead of playing with and learning my new overlocker, I have been well surfing the facebook pages and having a real blast from the past finding people from my past and trying to make contact. Anyway better get back incase someone out there actually remembers me......

Facebook

I am now officially on FACEBOOK - what do I do now? I have been spending ages as is always the case when I get on the computer (and I thought blogging was tricky) - and just looking around and getting yelled at by Mr 16 "DO IT YOURSELF" fine I say but what is it that I'm actually doing???? I keep asking. Hopefully something will evolve and I will work out just exactly what I am doing. Feel free to come by and be my friend and I guess it will be a work in process as I learn how to upload photos and have a chat and catch up with friends from another time - (looking forward to it).

I have spent this looonnnnggg weekend (the last for a while) adding to my Cranberry Lane range. Along with my skirts, shorts and tops, I now have t-shirts. Not the bought from the shops and have an applique added type..... but a 100% handmade t-shirt. Yes that's right I changed the sewing needle to a ball point used t-shirting fabric in both girls and boys prints carefully cut the ribbing for the neckline etc etc..... I have had a ball and of course Miss A wants everything added to her wardrobe...... wrong size honey. My clothing range caters from approx 2 yrs - 8 yrs. I have also had to order more labels woohoo :) Of course anyone wishing to view my items will have to come to the next Handmade Expo at Ipswich - or check out my Made It store.

Yesterday I went to the Craft Expo. Let me tell you that it was sooooo much better than a year ago - we maybe because my interests have diversified somewhat. But it was like heaven - to walk into aisles and aisles of fabric, papercraft, accessories all with "SHOW" prices and yes I even saw some of the famous Magnolia Stamps, and of course - coffee - where does one start - but I was very good I only spent a little but I did get a few bargains. Skills required!

I have just opened my study books - yes I have taken that step and enrolled in the Advanced Diploma - now I am wondering why - all that study again - heellpp!! LOL:)

The first assignment is to list my skills that I already have and conduct an audit of them comparing with skills that I might need to learn.

As I was reading and thinking about these skills (that I didn't realise were special skills) I came to realise just how much everyone is unique and have special qualities, talents and gifts and we are all on this planet for reason although everyone has a different reason and purpose. Just listening to someone or even being organised or being flexible are fantastic qualities to have and we should embrace these gifts and use them to the best of our abilities.

Another month has passed

To market, to market....

Yes, I have now tried my hand at two different markets and had a ball - so next month you will find me at the Handmade Expo again and the Ipswich Indoor Market. I need to replenish my stocks......but after this weekend.

I have been totally busy at work and haven't really had time to do much, but I have fallen in love all over again with ....... my sewing machine - so unfortunately no scrapping for awhile ..... yes you heard right ......no scrapping!

But that is me..... totally eclectic. I have to go where and when Mr Mojo takes me - so I have a few surprises up my sleeve to be revealed at another time.

Isn't this rain absolutely lovely! and hasn't it cooled down ....... well I guess now that it is March and summer is officially over, the weather will start to cool.... but not looking forward to the coldness of winter - so for now I will just enjoy every part of the weather God has given us.

Until next time.....

Tuesday, February 23, 2010

Life does get hectic at time, but as they say Life is for living. But what I can say and show is that I am now officially OVER THE HILL..... or is 40 the new 30 or because of this Cougartown 40 is the new 20?!

Anyway I wish everyone a HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY for tomorrow. MWAH MWAH

A sneaky peak

Thought I'd be a tease and share a sneaky peak with you - of course I have others but you will have to wait.
I have just been on the bloghop again checking in with you all as I am busy back at work again. I haven't done much creating as I am excitedly getting organised to participate in the upcoming Ipswich markets on Feb 20. My computer genius son has even made my "business cards" and they look fantastic - clever little (or not so little - nearly 6 foot) man. As for Miss A - well we/she has been using my sewing machine - yes I came home from work to 'look what I made' creating up a storm - thanks nanna she now knows the basics. Anyway heres another layout - just needs my journalling and embellishing.

God moves in mysterious ways

is a famous saying. Almost everyone says it at some stage. It almost sounds deep. Well for me - I feel God is talking to me via many channels - not quite sure of the plan as yet - but something in my life is happening. But message I am getting out of all the various paths (daily readings x different books, a new blog I found etc) is to 'Trust God' 'Follow God' 'His Plan'. An exciting adventure to follow I am sure.

My RAK came in the post today - what a treat when I came home from work. I have one word to say - gorgeous. I won the guess how long ribbon and lace RAK and I now have 5m of gorgeous ribbon and lace to use on my projects. Thankyou Let's get Shabby. Very noice indeed!!!
Wanna hear something funny - this is sooooo me - computer illiterate and all.

I have just discovered something in blogger called edit posts - fantastic one can add, delete, fix up mistakes etc. great I have actually been doing this for a while now.

Well.... way back when I first started blogging - I lost my very first post - I was so disappointed because I did well and had a great story to tell and everything and then it just disappeared - lost forever I thought - I asked my computer genius son and nope he didn't know what to do or where it could be - lost in transit among the stars or cyberspace they tell me I guess.

I HAVE JUST FOUND IT IN EDIT POSTS!!! YEAH!!!!!

Too bad - too long ago now DOH!!

It'sTime!

Ok, I guess it can be time for the big reveal seeing as others are beginning to blog about it. Drum roll if you please......

Saturday 20th Feb from 8am to 2pm I am going to have a stall at the Handmade Expo at the Ipswich Turf Club with my range of handmade items. I have been busy creating up a storm in preparation. Can't say too much but I am expanding my range of goodies - soon to be included on etsy.com and yes they are all handmade by me. I am sooo excited about this new venture. Anyway better get back to it.

Friday, January 8, 2010

I WON!!!!

I have been entering competitions randomly as I meet new friends in the blogging world - if nothing happens I get lots of fun, inspiration and generally have a great time in the land of blogginess. Anyway I WON my first RAK from over at www.letsgetshabby.blogspot.com. (I will make a link when my computer genius son wakes up - I haven't learnt how to yet) I am sooooo excited.

Thursday, January 7, 2010

My holidays are rapidly coming to an end. I have had such an awesome 3 weeks - been extremely busy - hopefully today I might be able to do some more scrapbooking - I haven't been able to do any for 2 weeks and I am now starting to get withdrawals. I have however been keepimg up with all my blogger friends and have also entered a couple of competitions - fingers crossed, and becoming inspired once again by all the beautiful work. Don't forget my work can be found on ebay and also etsy and soon on .....drum roll......(sorry will have to wait a little bit longer) but I better get creating.

Until next time.
